Tint question for those in Maine...
I checked with the DMV in Maine and they allow tint no darker than 50%. My question being is the law enforcement community hard on those with LEGAL tint or should I not bother tinting at all.

Well gee since im the only guy here from maine ill answer what i know it depends where you go i had a prelude before my S and i could not get an inspection sticker until i removed the tint from the rear glass, you can get pulled over at any time and asked for proof that your tint is legal, there are places that actually give you certificates stating you meet the requirement of the maine law. Radio city is one As far as whats legal im not exactly sure i do know that you cannot have your front driver side or passenger side windows tinted and you cannot have more than a 4 inch strip on your windshield and forget about that strip saying anything thats a sure trip to the side of the road from officer joe! Dont know if this helps but maine is kinda tuff on the tint thing never figured out quite why? I would go ahead and tint but if you dont want to be hassled make sure you have that magic certificate that says your legal well i guess thats hassling being pulled over and having to prove your legal "sigh"

your welcome i notice your from the sunshine stae let me add this in if your car is registered to another state than i beleive that states inspection laws govern your car, so if you got a tinted fl car here in maine i do beleive they wont bother you heck i know a LOT of people that have some type of residency in fl but actually live in maine that register the cars in fl due to the crazy exise registration taxes we pay here! if you buy a 30k car in maine be prepared to spend minimum $3000 to register it the first time!!!!!
If I bring my cars from Fl, will the registration costs still be stellar?
