It's got to be a bit warmer! After June as Rick will be taking the "pink flowers" outside soon, and putting them on the deck. They spend the month of May growing up to be bigger pink flowers before planting in the ground.

Yeah, Procel or Azac, same company. A few more $ than Trex, but supposedly a bit better quality (remains to be seen) , doesn't retain heat on the surface, which is good with the two grandkids. Can't think of the name of the company that makes the railing system..Tech built maybe? I have a brochure at home.

The railing system adds a lot to the cost of the deck. Not saying how much but it adds so much in appearance, since we're not selling or moving anytime soon, we decided to get what we liked the best.

I saw another deck the contractor did, and while it was a fine deck, it was too much like what we had, and it had no "pop" at all.

We each got a mod this week. I got the deck with the railing system, Rick got drilled and slotted rotors for the S. Truth be told, I like that mod for the S. I think it looks

Congrats to both Lainey & Rick, that looks absolutly fantastic!!!

I just love the contrast between decking and rails, the white rails are really beautiful. As much as I'm looking forward to doing a wooden deck someday, I have to say, your project has me really thinking.

I would so be there for a party, if I were closer.

Nice deck Lainey. I plan on redoing my deck in the next couple years if we stay put. I want to expand it a bit but I want to use that fake stuff. I dont like sealing, painting, etc... I already have stuff I cant get done around the house.
