Yeah, you should see the thing he's got. It's one of those old slip mount systems that you can pull out and take with you when you leave the car. You don't just take the face plate, you slip out the entire radio cassette unit. It's probably a collector's item now.

Those pull-out radios were the thing to have back in highschool. If you werent carrying one around like it was a mens pocketbook or something you just werent cool. Then came the detatchable face craze and everyone had their little black storage box that held the faceplate. Ahh, the good old days.
