Guys,
Although the forecast for this area is supposed to be great top-down weather, it looks like the weather in Manchester will be a bit iffy later in the day:
Today
Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers or thunderstorms...mainly this afternoon. Highs 75 to 80. Light wind. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Tonight
Cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 60 to 65. Light southeast wind. Chance of rain 50 percent.
I guess I am willing to go for the (what should be a) rain-free drive up there for the 40% chance of getting rained on part of the way back home, so will plan to take the Stook out of hybernation...havent driven my car in a couple weeks due to unusual circumstances.

Dana;
I got your messgae yesterday. Unfortunately, Sunday is a regularly scheduled day. Thanks for the invite, and I wished I could have gone. I'd tell you to keep me in mind for the upcoming weekend, but I know you'll be away doing "other" car things.
But maybe next time, eh?

John,
I dont recall the specific times, but we left my house around 10:15, headed over to Dan's place to pick up his two-way, then headed up to Manchester. Stopped for gas in VT, had some lunch at a nearby Friendly's, did some shopping, then drove back at 5:00 as fast as we could on the windy roads when there were no cars in front of us.....triple-digits were encountered......met up with Glenn for dinner at Bugaboo Creek in Natick around 9:00, bought more gas and got home around 10:30. By the way, you can get Mobil premium for $1.459 way up in VT, yet around here, you have to pay at least $1.569
