Just an update. The dealership "tried" to get it covered under warranty; however they said Honda would not go for it. So I was quoted $975 for the clutch. Apparently it is about done (they worked on it today) - but they are doing some other work for me while it is in there. Fixing my door rattle, a panel that has popped-up in the center console and a broken bushing in the shifter.

I'll let you guys know how it comes out on Monday.

Well, I haven't seen the bill with my own two-eyes yet and I do not know what they had to replace. I imagine the disc and pressure-plate & bearings. I do not know about the flywheel (I doubt it). What parts did they do on your car?

*grumble* *grumble* They broke something putting the shifter back together and the car is undriveable... The new part comes in tomorrow morning.

I completely forgot about that, that's definitely not going to help you. I think you are lucky they are even "trying" to get the warranty to pay for part of it.

My clutch job also did not go smoothly, they did not tell me what exactly went wrong but they did tell me that they are having a problem putting it all togather. It took them over 3 days for what they initially said would be a 1 (or even 1/2) day job.

Good luck!
