no manual but a good possibility, the Audi S4 is brutal too, but more than I want to spend.....

S60R is an awesome machine. Expensive maintainance though

For the $$$ it's hard to beat the TL. I've had 2 as loaners while my MDX was in for its routine maintainance, both Autos but still enjoyable. However, I'm actually partial to the TSX myself. It's extremely tossable and revs like the S . The TL really feels like a big car to me, and I'm not a fan of the stock 5-spokers... It would have to be an A-spec TL if I was buying one.

That's a nice ride too. I saw the test drive on SpeedTV when Bobby Rahal (whom I think owns a Volvo dealership) was driving it around a track. The active suspension and dash are really nice. Just get an extended warranty or sell it before the warranty expires.

If you can deal with importing from Europe, RS4's (at least in Switzerland) are pretty common and should be ready to import without a hassle. If you need financing, well, that could be another story for that car.
