I didn't make the trek to CC but maybe fitzy can comment.
Typically retailers like CC will sell the operations of to a liquidators to get rid of the inventory.
The interesting thing is the liquidator has additional inventory to bring to the sale.
It's generally high margin, no name, crap but they will sell it at '50-70% off' to the suckers.

boy you all know how to stick the knife in deeper. i'm only joking. yeah my store in nashua closed at 3 on sunday. i stood out front telling everyone who walked up that "we're closed and thats all folks". yeah it's to bad that some of you have had bad experiences in CC. the reason for that is some stores started this program called gen C. the ones who did this had awesome CS. some stores just stayed old school. well a time as come where the economy is just killing busineses. who knows when BB will go under. if people aren't spending, there not making.
as for the job hunt i have a few lined up. being disabled i get SSI so that helps. I bought my 32" samsung from my store when the tv's were 15% off. so i got 100 bucks off. i love my tv. deff worth it. most of the tv's that were 40" or bigger got priced raised and then discounted. thats liquidation for ya.
