not true at all Bill - i hit my numbers every qtr.. and the BEST raise for the last seven years was 3% - and that's if you got a raise at all (many did not)

heck i used to have a staff too

BUT

the owners (private equity) made 12* - yup for every dollar they invested, they took 12 back in less than 7 years - while taking away benifits and laying off 1/4 of people (heck we wont even talk about shipping all the mfg jobs overseas)

so the only way to get ahead is invest in private equity and hope the Mgt team trims ALL the expenses while the work of 3 gets done (with a lot falling through the cracks) by one

Work harder Steve. Anyone can meet capacity. Those who go beyond get recognized. It doesn't even matter if your current boss doesn't pay you for it. Your next boss will. Or open a collections agency and work for yourself. Don't spend your time thinking about what your bosses did. So much energy can be wasted dwelling on the actions of others. You can do it Steve.

ahhh Bill i think you're recalling the days of the past like when you would take your best girl out for cokes and a movie and it only cost you $5.00

the only reward current Boss' give is allowing you to keep your job.. This was told me by our CEO - the only way to make money is to invest or as he put it "put skin in the game" or as you said - leave. kind of sad that no more loyalty either way

yes i could start my own agency or look for a new job however i was just explaining how things are done in today's economy

Mine has one too. It does fine, but to be totally honest, hand rubbing does a better job. I think the PC is fine for light stuff. For heavy stuff you need an orbital, or lots of elbow grease. Let me know when you want your stuff back Steve. It will be a while before I detail the entire car.

$650.00

not bad considering they don't give health insurance or over time
