Rough starting
2003 S2000 with 89000 miles
For the first four years I have owned this car, it started right up with a turn of the key. This summer, it needs a flutter of the gas pedal and roughly starts up. Just not idling as smooth as in the past. Once warmed up, still goes like hell. What would you recommend for maintenance at this mileage with these symptoms.
Thanks

I got a rough idle and check engine light in my 2004 around 85000. Valve adjustment too care of it.
I took it to my local mechanic who made an ass of it. I talked to him first and he talked the talk and I figured he could handle it, but what a mistake that was. He installed the spark plugs wrong (too loose), the spark plug seals wrong (my no 4 spark plug well filled with oil) and didn't get any of the adjustments right (several were adjusted to 20 thousandths). Luckily I took it to Billman before heading to Watkins Glen - I`m convinced I would have blown the engine if he didn't catch all the issues.
Moving forward - he's going to be the only one to touch my engine.
