Rims and Winter Tires for an '04 S
This is my first winter here in NE and am considering getting a set of rear rims and winter tires for my S.
So:
I would like to know what people are using for winter rear tires in this area for a 2004 [or later] S2000?
and
Does anyone know of anyone with a set of rear rims for a 2004 that they want to sell or where would be a good place to buy them.
I live in the Cape Ann, MA area.
Any help will be appreciated.

In the past, I've seen good reports about the Blizzaks. Don't know if they still make them. Just putting snows on the rear is probably not a good idea. I tired that on some other cars and was very unhappy with the performance. One thing that might work for low money would be to get a set of AP1 rims and put 16 inch snow tires on them. The AP1 rims can be found for pretty cheap and the 16 inch snows will probably cost less. From what I have seen on the various web sites, the pros tend to recommend going down a size when you put on snow tires.

Been looking at the "Tire Rack" site for snow tire packages. They, too, recommend using smaller rims and tires for snows.
Has anyone had any experience with the "Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3" Tire? This is the one of the two choices Tire Rack is recommending for an '04 S.

I used to use Dunlop Wintersport M3's which performed very well, but yeah as other people said you want to get a set of 4. I aftermarket I used were the same size front to back so could rotate them each season and get more life from them.

You need 4.. don't even bother with two, you'll get stuck.
I use AP1 16" wheels for winter. First I ran Michelin X-Ice. They worked very well in snow and ice. After that I switched to Hankook Icebear W300 which is a more performance oriented winter tire. It was capable enough in the snow to get me around fine, but gave much better dry performance.
