ok so first of all I didn't get a ticket, I wasn't even driving.

Staties had set up on 290 east bound ~3 miles before 495.
it's at the base of down grade which sweeps right to left as it passes under a bridge.

"shooter" on the right, chase cars on the left shoulder, on the pavement, basically in the left lane grabbing people into the median......
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what F'ing genius set this up?
traffic is jamming up and people are swerving lanes trying to avoid what they think is an accident.
We saw two near accidents and that was just as we were coming through.
How in gods name does that improve the public safety????

 

They do this just over a crest an da merge going twards the beach . The officers run right out in front of you. You dont even know they are there till you crest the hill and wham you have maybe 200ft to react and make sure you dont hit the guy or get hit all while your mind is in WFT is going on mode .. LOL

When one gets hit they will learn . They are proble trying to reinforce the move over law.

 

Isn't the move over law only if they have there lights going ? I doubt the speed trap had lights blairing

 

the chase cars on the left had lights on and the cruiser shooting was in the right in the breakdown lane so in theory all traffic should have moved to the center lane.

 

They might as well just set up a road block... JACKASSES !!!!!!

 

This is the big weekend they picked to make people aware of the move over law. Im certain this was tied to that in some way. Sad part is one of them is gonna get killed in the scenario Jerry is describing which makes the whole idea moot.

 

Guys, it's about generating REVENUE.

 

If it is about the move over law I think it probably has to do more with the six troopers that have been struck (one fatally) by jackasses in the last few months alone then about money. Three of them were in my area.

Just observe the law and they can't take any of your "revenue". It's a simple concept... See a red, amber or blue light... slow down and get the out of the way.

Some people have their heads so far up their asses in this country that they would really believe that a law like that is about taking their money instead of saving lives.

 

I'm wasn't commenting at all, on the move over law.
I was doing that long before the law got passed it's just simple common sense.
You never know when somebody or something is going to emerge from behind those flashing lights.

this was simple a dumb speed trap that wasn't well thought out so instead of improving the overall public safety it was severely reducing it.

 

one of the most ridiculous times I got pulled over was in a 35mph zone, (I was 5 over) and the cops were standing in a drive way with their speed guns. When he wanted to stop you, he walked into the road and flagged you down with his hands. I was thinking "Did I just get pulled over by a policeman with no car?"
