The risk is infection otherwise I wouldn't worry. Lyme disease is carried in very small deer ticks - which you normally don't notice until a week or 2 later by its signature bullseye rash. At this point, rubbing alchohol and some antibiotic ointment - you should be fine, whats left will work its way out.

Not life threatening but pretty annoying nonetheless.

I had one make it's home on the edge of the back of my ear.....Rick yanked it out...it hurt. Not much flesh on the back of one's ear.
I made sure to wash the area and used antibiotic ointment on it for several days. No problem.
Deer ticks are really, really small. You likely had a wood/dog tick on you, no Lyme disease from them.
