It's going soooooooooo slow. The carpenter has another job. (Which I knew going into this), so he's not here every day. Boxing in the top part of the cabinets and adding the molding has taken quite a bit of time.

Hoping by the end of next week it will almost look like a kitchen again. The painter will be here late next week to do some of the prep work. It looks like I'll have to eat store bought cookies for a little longer. No cooking or baking quite yet.

Here's a couple pics of the top of the cabinets and the crown molding. I like it!

I told my granddaughter I was going to have the new baby sleep on that little shelf. It's a perfect size for a new baby. Poor kid, I don't usually tease her. The look on her face was

Looking Good Lainey.... yeah remodeling is funny that way. You think to yourself ah a few weeks and its done. Bhahaaa more like a few months by the time you are done.

Damn weather is too freakin cold to start up the siding. So now I got bumped up till next month. Can you believe it and this is my Dad telling me this. Talk about getting sidelined But can't complain on the price

Nice Lainey! I like the crown molding meeting the ceiling.
Nice touch, as well as an eliminator for dust collecting on top of the cabs.
Maybe Carol and I can bring you guys some fresh cookies this weekend?

We'll have to have a "kitchen party" when it's done, you can bring cookies.

Looks good. What did you do to the floor. It looks like you are putting wood on top of wood?
