Default Relocating from Seattle to Stamford. CT Hello!

H ey all, I've been on this board for almost 2 years now and am finally moving from Seattle, Wa where I've been for the past 10 years back to the east coast (originally from Westchester, NY) where I was born and raised.

I recently got a place out in Stamford and will be there as of February 1. I'm definitely looking forward to finding out the local scene and meets/gtg's as I don't really know anyone other than family and a couple of friends in the area.

I've been on the Audiworld boards for 9 years now and the S2k for just a short time, but like most have met some great people along the way and look forward to meeting some of you at the next gtg.

I'll be living in Downtown Stamford, and definitely interested in hooking up with those whom wanna grab a beer after work etc and the track scene crew. I've been a volunteer instructor for Porsche, Audi, BMW, Alfa, Lotus and a couple other organizations here out West between CA,OR,WA and look forward to continuing that @ LimeRock, Pocono, Watkins and Newhampshire motor speedway and hopefully at some point the roadtrip down to Summit or VIR.

Looking forward to meeting you at the various events and gtg's and if ya have any advice for the area and places to check out. I'm listening.

Thanks and see ya soon.
David.

Welcome. Too bad you aren't arriving sooner. There's a party on Jan 20th!

Plenty to keep you busy this spring/summer/fall.

Usually a tech day in the spring.

The Mohawk Drive also in spring lead by CT member, paivag.

CT wine drive in June

Rick and I have a cookout/drive in July

VT trip in Sept, Mohawk Trail again in the Fall and I'm sure plenty of gatherings in between.

Awesome! Thanks I'm definitely looking forward to "coming home" of sorts, but have had a great time/experience with the group/club out here in Seattle/Portland and it's a new challenge to be "starting over" of sorts with a new place @ 33yrs old, but hope to meet a number of you as time goes by and find out where all the "good roads are for the drives etc..."

If anyone's really familar with the Stamford area I'd love to know the good and bad about the area.

Thanks!

David.

Welcome to the area. This is a great group of people here in New England. I say that because I'm a transplant myself. I moved here a little over a year and a half ago, and everyone makes you feel welcomed.

See you soon.

Welcome. People are always trying to sell stuff here. You don't have to buy anything to hang out with us, so don't feel obligated.

Anyway you will like us NE folks. They are a lot of fun!
