Default Questions on photobucket

I've been using photobucket to host my pics,(thanks again for the suggestion, Steve), but I think I'm doing it the long way.

Do you guys re-size your pics before loading to photobucket? If so what size do you use?

Can you load multiple pics to your album instead of loading one by one? What about posting them. Do you copy and paste individually?

I obviously have not figured out how to use the "multiple load" option.

Thanks!

Lainey, It is a PITA with loading pics. Multiple upload never worked for me and I have always have to upload individually. It used to be so much easier before this damn update.

i think George is talking about s2ki and not photobucket..

in Photobucket, you can load multiple pics at once without a problem

simply click submit multiple pics. the box should be just below where you add your single pics and it will ask you how many pics you want to upload.

also - to resize, i use Image Resizer - it's a free power tool for XP. makes re-sizing a cinch -

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx

once you have this little program installed - all you need to do is hold your mouse over the image and right click. it will ask you if you want to resize from big, medium, small and will save the photo in the place as where you store your orig. photos

let me know if you need more help

Thanks guys!

I had been using the website to load pics and had been able to use the multiple load without problem, but lately the website pics are screwed up.

I re-size before loading using "Irfanview" but the program you suggest sounds easier, Steve.

Thanks, I'll check it out and let you know if I have any questions.

Edit: I think I figured out the multiple upload. Thanks. Last question, when you post pics to the web site, do you do them individually, or is there a way to multiple load those to the web site?

not too sure i understand the question

you can load multiple images into one thread - i do this with two windows open - photobucket and s2ki

just copy the img link (third on down in your photobucket list under the picture) by highlighting the link the press and hold the ctrl key and press the C key

and then when you copy the picure link into a thread simply press and hold the ctrl key and V into the thread. you can add multiple pics into on thread by doing this BUT be sure ti hit the enter key between links

The site is working on the pics this weekend so that could be another issue BUT this is what your links should look like

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/ v173/Stevebass4/DSC00713.jpg[ /IMG]

hit the enter key here

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/Stevebass4/radio-MOD.jpg

and so on (in my example above i added spaces so you can see what i mean

OK, I printed up your reply and will play around with it later.

Though hiding in AC today and playing on the computer may not be a bad idea.

As for your plant question.

If we understand your question.....if you bought one pot with three plants in the same pot, Rick would plant them as one, not disturbing the roots.

If they are divided into sections, as in a "six pack", then those can each go in the ground separately.

Take pics. We want to see your flowers!
