Default question about air compressors

just curious, do those of you who have an air compressor leave air in the tank after you are done or empty the tank after each use?

I have left it in for the last 30 years. Bit stale but still works.

I do the same, but just empty the water. If my compressor still has 100psi in it after water stops coming out, I keep it pressurized to that.

I empty mine after every use, because the use is infrequent. why keep the tank under pressure for a month if I'm not using it. If I used it daily, I would probably follow Erick and Scott's approach on the theory "why run the motor more than I need to."
