My brother turbo'd his first N/A supra for a total of $8k. A month later he blew the engine and it was another $5-6k for that installed. So yea be prepared to fork out the big bills

It is a rule of thumb ... There is no guarantees in this business . The only guarantee I can give you is that if it was because we installed something improper to cause a failure ... But we are not responsible if the engine or a manufactures part fails . There is no way to test the engine prior to know its HP limits , we can only work from past experiences .. Yes I can do a compression check but that does not tell you much .. So you have to be prepared to take the risks involved ..

Scott, is that expected even if you're not trying to get 500whp?

I would probably shoot for 300whp if I decided to do it.

Always expect the worst. If it all works out you'll have deeper pockets, if something goes wrong then at least you were expecting it.
