Default property tax in MA?

I moved to Springfield MA from Chicago almost 10 months now. I registered my car in MA and I just receive a letter that I need to pay property tax for my car

Do you need to pay property tax for your car in CT? I may be moving to Hardfort.

Thanks!

Hey I live in West Hartford. Just got my S2000 in June so I have not received my bill yet for taxes..but I know it is coming. Expect it to be about $900 this year. Supposedly goes down quite a bit each year.

Hartford probably has a lower mill rate then West Hartford, so if you live in Hartford may be cheaper. Then again you will be living in Hartford If can live in West Hartford.
