Poor Riggs!
I ran into Riggs this morning as he was working a detail on Main Street, and he told me this. Last week, he let his brother drive his S, with Riggs following behind in his bro's car. Paying no attention to Riggs' warning about cold weather/cold tires, he watched (in horror I would think) as his brother hit second gear and lost the rear end. Hit a snowplow and an '86 Corvette. $16,000 in damage to the S . . so far.
His brother should be out of the hospital any day now after recovering from the beating Riggs gave him on the side of the road. OK, that part isn't true.

oh man, that's aweful. I can't imagine what that must feel like to see your own baby wrecked like that. Hope everything turns out OK for him and the car.
The vette is a pretty flimsy car being fiberglass and relatively lightweight, that thing must have had some serious damage as well.

Bummer for Riggs. Hey Riggs, how come we haven't met you yet?

He was at Cubby's for Spring Tech Day and at the Spring Mohawk. I told him about the party at Bill's, maybe he'll come.

sucks... especially when Riggs warned about cold weather and summer tires.
Jeff you out there???

Summer tires DO NOT skid off dry roads uncontrolably for no apparent reason. People make them skid off the road with foolishness that should not be done in the winter. Period.
