Peter's Honda Nashua ==FAIL
My brother just called because Peter's Honda called to inform him that they will need his Civic Si for at least 3 more days because they "broke a valve stem". He had asked them to do an oil change and valve adjustment.
Anyone know how you break a valve stem from doing the adjustment? The only thing I could think of is that maybe they managed to not re-tighten the nut with the adjusting screw and ran the motor then slap slap slap slap. Waiting to find out if the valve bent or completely broke and additional details.
For the record. I told him already they were idiots.

Did I mention I told him they were idiots?
Confucius say: Listen to your brother next time, avoid broken valve stem.
I was thinking more about the adjustment nut thing but that doesn't seem to make sense to me either. Maybe they adjusted it completely wrong and then fired it up.

AVOID PETER'S HONDA SERVICE AT ALL COSTS!
They screwed up a few things on my S when I bought it from them.
I had a family come up to me when I had service done there. They said
did you buy your car here? I said yes. They said it's a good place to
buy but avoid the service department. And these were complete strangers.
I go to Autofair in Manchester now. It's 10 times further for me but
they do things RIGHT.

Hey guys,
New owner here. I pick up her up tomorrow. 2005 siverstone over black/red with 10,000 miles on her. But it's been sitting all winter so I want to get the fluids changed and have it generally checked out. Is Autofair in Manchester still a good bet? (I see that I'm resurrecting an old thread.)
Thanks for your advice!

Whoah, reviving the thread from the dead E. Since we're harping on them I'll post my initial experience from maybe like 5 years ago:
I'd received a coupon in the mail from Peter's for a $20 oil change (maybe it was 25, it was a while ago). So I made an appointment, the next day went with my gf at the time to drop off the car. Went in and talked to someone for the service and was told that the coupon does not apply to the S2000 because it requires an additional quart (I guess compared to a civic). So now the price was pretty much whatever I would pay anywhere else.
So I fill out the form and the Peter's guy asked if I will be waiting or leaving the car. I let him know my gf was outside and I was going to get lunch and back in 1 hour. Then he informs me that IF I wait in the waiting room it will be ready in an hour. If I drop off the car and leave it will be ready by the end of the day. I was like Seriously? I made an appointment. It shouldn't matter if I am physically waiting in the waiting room or not. The guy would not back down on this waiting in the room thing. So between the guy being argumentative, the waiting room "policy" and being duped by a useless coupon I grabbed the service form I signed, and tore it up in his face. Then he was like "You're destroying our property!" (the paperwork). I just walked out.
I've been in a few times since then, but ONLY to go to the parts counter. At least the guys at the parts counter are nice.
