True, but this all goes back to not wanting to live in fear of what might or could happen.

Understood...my only point is that I try to park as to minimize the
possibility of some idiot that doesn't care about other people's stuff
causing damage to my property that results in me having to invest
time and money to fix it.

If I do something myself, then it's my own stupidity and I deserve to
have to pay to get it fixed. But having to do that when it's someone
else's doing and people having no respect or consideration for other
people's things is a huge pet peeve of mine.

Agreed, but that is more far-fetched than some kid trying to be cool shoving the
cart from 1/2 way across the lot trying to hit that carriage holder, just ask Lainey.
Hey, I didn't blame a kid for shoving a cart....

Just said we ended up with a ding when we parked close to the cart corral.

Now, if the car had been keyed, I'd blame a kid.

I know....our choice of ME/NH, vs making it to VT with a pulled pork run worked into the schedule was a tough choice.

BUT, we've done the roads of VT several times, and it was time for a change.

However, we did have pulled pork once in ME and once in NH, it was just OK, no where near as good as the one in Killington!
Thats cause ya didnt ask me where the good stuff was

Oh and i park however I feel like that day, somtimes angled sometimes straight and sometimes in the garage

I dislike people who take up two parking spaces. But that dislike is not reserved for the person in the nice car who parks at an angle. It extends to the owners of huge SUVs that cannot park the behemoth within the lines. I've seen some of those things take out three spaces.

In all fairness...I own a full-size 1996 GMC Ex-cab. And...some parking lots are designed more for the S2000 sized cars than my truck. I've been to places where the only way I could park the truck was to take up multiple spots. But, then, anytime I take multiple spots (in the truck or the S), I get as far out into the parking lot as I can and only if there's space for it.

And Jeff... Just because we can't prevent all damage doesn't mean we should just not attempt to prevent any at all.
