Thumbs up Parking at an angle in a parking lot

Do you ever park your car at an angle in a parking lot? One Vintage guy did recently and got a ticket for "improper parking."

We are selective about parking spaces, but we never park at an angle. We always think it's like asking a punk to key the car

What about you?

Do you mean taking up more than one space?

I only do it at work. Tho I do it while only taking up 1 use-able space. I hide behind a jersey barrier.

I never do it at public establishments tho.

Well, at least over a line, that would prohibit someone else from parking near you.

that would qualify as parking like a dooshbag.

i think your more apt for door dings and getting your car keyed, cause people are gonna be like look at this ahole parking like that.

i do however drive around a lot till i see an end spot and then I park snug up to the curb leaving a nice buffer from other cars.

although i still seam to be a door ding magnet.

No way. I park as close to the door as I can. I sometimes wish I could smash the windows in on the people who park crooked because it is so ridiculous and pompous.

I can understand parking further away to be careful, but parking crooked is inviting trouble.

Can local cops give tickets for that in our area, or are they only allowed to enforce parking in handicap parking spots?

Yeah, just handicapped and fire lanes. Parking spots are just a guideline put there by the property owner. There are no laws on how to park in a lot.

ok the part that Lainey left out is he was parked as far from the entrance as he could get in a very large lot and the lot was half empty.

I agree if your parked sideways a third of the way up the line, you deserve a dope slap up side of your head. your being an a$$ an imposing your need to preserve your car at everyone else's expense.

If on the other hand you go way out of your way to distance yourself from the fray you're not inconveniencing anyone. Other than suggesting someone is a little anal retentive no additional grief is warranted.
In this particular case the cop was just being a classic 'see I can F' with you, prick"
