I think it all depends on what you can afford. If I were younger and had $$$ issues, the first thing to go would be expensive hobbies i.e. a car which isn't needed. You're young and can always get a fun car later on. If your beater is reliable keep that and just pocket whatever you can get for the S. If it isn't reliable sell it as well as the S and look for something with low upkeep i.e. civic, camry, etc. and keep it as long as you can. The money you save now will be very beneficial in the long run.

Good deal sir.

I would have taken that as well. Since you cant buy an RSXS for 5 grand with sub 100k miles, you made the best of the choices

Lol, I saw this craigslist post at work and told my buddy to trade in his harley for it. He was seriously thinking about it... but backed off saying that you would probably turn it down because you probably were looking for a rice rocket.

Anyways glad you ended up with the rsx. I have a friend who has some parts if you ever get back onto your feet and want to mod it.

Now I'll offer more advice. Sell the beater, get some winter wheels and tires for the RSX and enjoy a pretty nice car that will work year round. Keep the mods to a minimum and avoid lowering at all costs because lowering for a street car is just a waste of money. (Sorry street car guys who have lowered your car.)
