DO NOT do Childwood.

Cape May, it fits all of your criteria.

Not sure if there is anything to do, but Misquamicut beach in RI is quite nice....for entertainment go to Foxwoods or Mohegan, or is that all too close to you?

swim, walk the boardwalk, spend some time in palace playland a smaller sized amusement park with a roller coaster, enjoy some fine dining, head up to portland 12 miles north for some great shopping in the old port, head over to freeport for world class factory outlet shopping and of course a visit to the one and only ll bean, explore the many nooks and crannys of the coast in that area, go to a nightclub on the beach and

oh and school starts up here this week so less crowding and traffic to fight

Not that its horrible to begin with c'mon up!

I always go to Rehoboth Delaware...that said.....I grew up going to the Jersey shore. Yea...Wildwood in the 70's early 80's .....I hear it has changed a bit.

Sadly....probably 6.5 hours to DE beaches....but as an FYI, Dewey and Bethany are also nice.

Hampton is not a nice as it used to be , while they have some cool things on the boardwalk , there are way to many poeple and punks to enjoy it , plus I feel it has gotten dirty there .. take it from me , I party there for 7 years as a teen and lived on the corner of M and Ashworth .. Great for party , not for Family ..

North Hampton and Rye are great places , but lack a boardwalk ...
