New S2K owners, where's the love?
Used to be a time when S2K owners would pass each other on the road and practically high five one another, at least an enthusistic wave or flash of headlights.
The last 4 or 5 times I've encountoured another S2000 on the road I've waved and or flashed my lights and recieved no response. Is this new generation of S2000 owners just a jaded group that doesn't understand what a unique car they own.

Its too bad that youre experienceing this. Around here theres lots of "S Love" in the air. I havent had a bad S experience on the road yet, though ive heard about encounters like yours on here. Its too bad, but surely those who youve been seeing on the road arent on this board.

Well unfortunately some people don't know what they have like Paivag stated. The other day I pulled beside a GPW and beeped the guy looked at me like WTF you beeping at yea so what you have an S2K too big deal.

We have yet to encounter another S2000 in our travels. We bought ours in January, and have been out every weekend in the last few, as well as some evenings. We've been in several areas of Mass, as well as RI. We saw one in a parking lot,and made an attempt to see if anyone was in it to say hello, but no luck.
So, if we are out there and see any of you, we will certainly acknowledge you, as we are looking forward to meeting up with other owners.

I flash the lights at other S2000 owners and never get a response. I've seen some people parked with their tricked S2000's and when I ask them about their cars, they look at me like I have a problem. Maybe it's just the kind of people who live in the Allston-Brighton area?
I get much more waves and hi-fives when I owned my WRX and Alfa. Subaru and Alfa owners hang much tighter than Honda owners; too bad.

Amen - some people, you see - smile, wave, they do the same back - others - they have NO IDEA, no love, no passion, its just maybe a "cool car" to them.
Keep showing the love - you'll get it back eventually!!

I'd have to say 90% of the people driving the car are friendly, two young hott girls in a silverstone MY02 pulled up next to me the other day and started to chat, it was rather cool
