Amazing how much the S2000 trunk will hold. Looking forward to your pics, Jesse. I've not graduated to people portraits at this time, some snapshots of the grandkids is about it. For the most part, I like nature and inanimate objects as subjects.

Wrapped up editing the engagement session. They wanted them posted to FB so that's where they're hosted at least for today. I'll probably upload the full sizes to Flickr at some point. Boy does FB makes images soft! Softer in some of my cases

Hey, anyone know how to find and put the old [ photo]xxx[ /photo] syntax into a post these days to get a gallery picture in a thread? I looked around the FAQ section and couldn't figure it out. I know you can use the [ img] syntax, but I find the gallery very difficult to use these days to even get that... Anyone? Has this already been discussed? Am I having a senior moment?

I've developed a workaround model. ( at least for firefox anyways)
open a second browser window to your photos.
select the image version you want and right click for view image info.
Copy url of image.
jump back to posting window and select insert image and paste in URL.
not ideal but it works.

and I concur the new gallery capabilities really suck.
a cynic could speculate that they really don't want users to post images because they use more bandwidth.

Fair enough, Jer. Yeah, I managed to figure out a convoluted way to get the URL for my pictures. It wasn't easy. But, there used to be a way to find pictures in the gallery and insert them into posts. I take it that's gone away? I do know that the [ photo=X] syntax still works, though... Is there a way to know the photo number when you look in the gallery?

Maybe you're right about the intent.

[edit: oh, I got it... if you click on the picture in your album, look at the url that you're directed to... it looks something like http ://www.s2ki.com/s2000/gallery/image/186371-why-i-come-to-work/ If you cut/paste the the number you can make [ photo=186371]. That works.

Anyone here besides Kenta, me and Jesse? Anyone taking pics? Got a macro lens. I like flowers and bugs. Lots to learn. Trying it out on dead flowers yesterday. Dead flowers can look interesting.

Thanks, Kenta. That house/work stuff can really squeeze the fun out of life at times.

I think the macro will get a good workout this summer and I won't have far to go with the yard full of flowers that Rick grows.
