Nice, the water is so calm, but I bet a tad chilly! Bet you couldn't get near enough to snap that in the summer!

For those of you lucky enough to have your parents, and grandparents, enjoy them!

Mom turned 90 last week and we had a party for her last night.

She is a healthy, youthful 90 and enjoys the slot machines. Check out the present from one of my nephews. 90 quarters.

And the cake. A young Mom sitting on a car, so this makes this post car related.

Speaking of cars, my Jeep is sporting some nice new wheels. I'll have to take a pic once it has a bath...

Lainey and others,

You'll get best background blur with longer lenses, more distant backgrounds, wider or widest aperture opening.
(Having your camera set on the landscape symbol will accomlpish the opposite)
Most of the time your camera should be set on Aperture priority.

Thanks, Marty. Did you mean the two pics above? They certainly would have been better with a blurred background, but was busy with the party socializing so used Auto or P mode. I'm still a newbie.

Nothing too fantastic, hopped a train into NYC Sunday with a friend but we were left uninspired by the chill and the lack of green. Explored a bit in Greenich Village.
