New Civic Si
Drove the new Civic Si this weekend.
Holy smoke, what a fun ride! First thing I noticed was how responsive the throttle (by wire) and engine were. It was instantaneous as if it could read my mind

sadly... if the price is right on the trade-in value of the s2k..... this is going to be my next car.....
practicality is now required, and i also feel bad putting on so many miles on a beautiful car like the S
i wont feel so bad rackin' up miles in a civic

Good writeup Ben! It really is a wonderful vehicle from all I have read. Must be a REALLY nice ride to garner compliments from a Boxster driver. Looks like Honda really did their homework on this one.
Thanks for the feedback

Thanks Rich and Frank.
Frank, I accelerated semi-hard out of a normal size rotary couple times (the sales was in the car, white-knuckled). Neither time did I sense tuck on the steering wheel while accelerating out of apex, so I guess I can say there wasn't any torque steer in normal to semi-aggresive street driving.
It is kind of hard for me to put torque steer in perspective because I have never driven any high HP/TQ FWD other than the few minutes spent in the new TL. Torque steer in that car is fairly obvious. Other than that, the only FWD cars I have driven are in the 140HP/120TQ varieties. What torque?

It sounds like a nice car, and I really like how the new one looks, but I think I would rather have a Mazdaspeed6 for a second car. I'll have to drive both though.
