New 2002 For Less than $29000?
Does anybody know of a dealer that may have one? I would prefer a fresh one, obviously. I have a deposit on one at Bernardi Honda at this price, but I don't know if it is such a good deal as it seems to have been abused. See post below entitled "Sebring at Bernardi". I don't know how much you can damage a car in such a short time, since it only had 23 miles on it. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. i would really like a silver one, but am somewhat flexible. By the way, this board is awesome, and I really look forward to joining all the other owners.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Bob,
I know the car you are talking about. It has been parked out in front of the showroom for quite a while and it does look very beat up for a new car.
Make an offer at $300 over invoice and be prepared to walk away. I am sure that you will could close this deal for a lot less than $29K.
You may be much better off negotiating on a brand new '03 in late December - early January, right around the holidays. December 26 is an excellent day to shop.
I am sure you will find a terrific deal in this "dead" period.
Good luck!

email the folks at Majestic Honda In RI.
They were below $29k earlier this year when a friend at work was looking.
Hint, the economy in RI is really thin and when times are slow, they will really try to earn your business.

Thanks for the help guys. I just bought one, and the price was right around $29,000. See my post entitled "Just bought 02 at Weymouth Honda". They have two more there now, a Sebring/Red and Suzuka Blue if anyone is interested. It seems like now is a really good time to buy one around here. I was planning on waiting until late winter/early spring, but the price was too good to pass up.
