the GTR

Anyone knows a good exhaust place that wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for doing this? I went to pops exhaust and they want 200 dollars for this thing, no way this can be that expensive. Btw im around the west hartford area also i went to fast go exhaust and they wouldn't do it

I have a friend who is a professional welder and does jobs on the side. He did mine a few months ago and its great! Never seen such a nice job. Probably charge you 100 if its off the car, not sure how much more difficult it would be on the car. I can check for you tho.

Is this mod for sound purposes?

yes purely for sound. I have a 1" connector pipe and there is no highway drone and a nice exhaust burble until you really get on the throttle, then it sounds great! Its loud from behind but not inside the car which I like.

A bigger pipe will naturally increase the sounds if you want to hear it more from in the car.

I got it done already they didnt have 38mm pipes so they put a 41 or 40 mm pipes and it sounds awesome

oh ok nice. I wish I had gone a bit bigger with the pipe for more sound at lower revs but I had no clue what it would sound like and didn't want to overdo it. Still sounds amazing at WOT tho!
