Default Neck and head support

Do you guys have a problem with putting your head back and finding the headrest way too far back to make it comfortable?
Maybe I sit funny with the seat back leaning way back, but that is what feels comfortable on my back. But that leaves my neck and head feeling unsupported.
If I get hit my neck would snap way back and whiplash would definitely hurt.

Anyone else feel that?

Anyways I orded a pair of these: Nekbonz
to see if they make a difference, I will let y'all know.

I can never put my head against the seat back. If I do I find myself looking up at the stars, which isn't the ideal position for the driver

Every now and then while cruising on the highway I can because it requires less attention. But that's about it.

It isn't really meant to rest your head while you are driving. It is to stop your head from whipping back too far in case of an accident. that said, I notice many people adjust their seat backs into a slouching position. If you set the back up fairly straight, the distance between your head and the backrest is greatly reduced. Of course, that may be an uncomfortable position for some people.

Remember that the seat was designed to be comfortable while you are wearing a helmet. If you want the utmost in driving saftey, always wear a helmet!!!

Good advice there Bill, and I agree that the seat backs were designed for helmet, especially AP1's with the hole in the headrest, use which is why your neck ends up unsuported when you have no helmet on.
That leaves you open to whiplash when you do not wear your helmet. This little pillow might fill that gap. I also thought that it could be more comfortable for the passenger if they can rest their head back and snooze while enjoying the engine buzz on the highways.

Like I said I ordered a pair and they are on the road to me now. I will more than likely have them for the crawl and the mohawk. I hope they work out, they were not that expensive.

The more comfortable the faster you will drive or snoozing while on the wheel IMO.

If I remember right from reading somewhere, the seats were make that way so the driver would have room for a helmet while racing.

JS that is corect, see LB's post above. And it is quite obvious by how the seat leans back that there is a lot of room for a helmet.
