NE Back Road Cruising
Roads in NH and VT for a "spirited" drive on a sunny day: Take RT137 from Jaffrey NH (near the MA border up in Rt202N) all the way to RT121 in Alstead/Stoddard. Remain on RT121 into Bellows Falls VT. Continue through Saxtons River, Grafton VT. Follow RT32 to RT103 and turn South back towards Bellows Falls VT. You can take several ways back, back tracking the way you came, or follow Rt12 to Keene NH, follow Rt101 towards Marlboro NH, and get on RT124 towards Jaffrey. This route takes you around the base of Mount Monadnock. Approximately 120 miles round trip. These roads are lightly patrolled, very twisty with some 90 degree turns and steep banks, big see-through sweepers, and are in very good shape, with the exception of RT121N into Saxtons River and Grafton. You can really get a feel for the go kart like handling of the S2000 and power for short bursts of acceleration. There are several small towns with places to stop and eat. Covered bridges and scenic vistas abound. I've mentioned this to other S2Ki folks looking for weekend rides. I went out Saturday and was amazed how much fun these roads are. NE has to have the best roads in the country for al fresco drives...

Sound like a great ride, I think I would be interested in it. If someone is going to do it I would like to join them. With the scenery I might be able to get the wife to come along.
I probably would not be able to go until June though - tight schedule.

Hi...I'm a newcomer to these boards and I'd be very interested in a trip like this. we were in N.H. yesterday (IN A TRUCK!) and would have loved to have had our car with us for the ride....beautiful roads and great scenery. we're game for the ride if it happens.
