Default Mini-meet Sun June 17 6 PM in Boston

I'm headed up to Boston this coming weekend for a family reunion (June 15-18). Possible get together Sun pm if anyone is available for a drinkypoo or whatever. It would have to be in the downtown area, though, since I will be carless. Staying at the Four Seasons, Boylston St (Beacon Hill area, it appears). Anyone??

Hi Deb. Welcome to the home of your family roots! Barbara and I will be down the cape, but we may be back in time to meet you on Sunday night. What time were you thinking?

^ Let me look at the sked...we may have a family dinner Sun evening. My thought was between lunch and dinner (something like 2-5).

^ I didn't arrange the hotel...my rich cousin from AZ did!! I must admit he got a great rate on the rooms, though. It won't be at the hotel, but somewhere downtown. Why don't you PM me your cell phone just in case I don't know the venue before I leave Fri?

^ I know...well, suggest one! A fun one...although I'm sure they all are.

Here's why I'm going to be up there, and probably why we are going to the Union Oyster House - in keeping with the historical nature of the visit:

This weekend is my family reunion in Boston (about 30 members from all over), with a side trip to the Fairbanks House (ancestral home, built in the mid/late 1630s) in Dedham. Should be fun! Here's the website to the house, a national historic site. Very interesting place. I've been there, but not in about 20 years - www.fairbankshouse.org.

I was planning to go to the location of the original post office in Boston, which was run by one of the first ancestors, Richard Fairbanks, who came over from England in the early 1630s. It was later the site of the Boston Globe newspaper. But it is in South Boston, so probably won't make it there.

How bout Hennessy's - 25 Union St? Looks like a very popular one...Glenn has also mentioned Kinsale. They apparently have validated parking. What do you think, LB, and anyone else?
