Mid-week evening meets?

Mid-week evening meets?
The summer nights are long, and the weekends are too short. In the past we have had "last minute" midweek meets. I thought it might be a good idea to pick a weekday night for a regular summer meet and drive. This is something that the antique and classic car clubs do during the summer. The old car clubs have a weekly show and drive. Why not us?
We could pick a different location to meet up each week, maybe get some cheap eats or ice cream, or pick a nice destination for a local drive. Nothing fancy, just an opportunity to enjoy the car and the community. Maybe each New England state could have their own weekly meet, and sometimes we can have a rendevous where two states meet up at a convenient meeting point.
Let me know if you are interested. I'll try to coordinate the first one if folks want to do it.

I would be in. I wonder if we couldn't just jump into one of those local "cruise nights" that some of the larger car clubs hold in the parking lot of a kmart or something. They usually allow whoever wants to come in do so as long as they are respectful (no burners etc..).
I bet if we found one that we liked and approached the leadership of the event, they would be willing to set aside a spot for us. The folks at Garden City in RI used to be very receptive to us and we had a great time there on Tuesday nights. I don;t know what direction that event has gone in since the last time I was there in '03, though.
It was nice because we would park all the S2000 near each other (IF people got there asses there on time) and then after the show we would all cruise over to a local pub that made some kick ass grilled cheese and foot longs.

I'm happy to host the first Eastern Mass drive. We can do the South Shore and go hang out at Nantasket beach in Hull. We did that a couple of times back in the early days. Jeff, if you want to lead one, I'm sure folks would drive down your way.
Puff, I think a CT weekly drive is a natural. CT has a lot of members. If you do one up in the north central or north east part of the state, the Mass guys could meet up with you some time.
