had an idea to visit boston the 3rd week of september, it is my wedding anniversary. wanted to know of any good hotels in downtown area, suggestions as to what to do and not. areas and attractions to attend and avoid. i am not even sure if stayin in downtown area is a good area..all suggestions welcomed. thanks

Not sure about hotels, etc.

But if you have not seen "Blue Man Group" it's worth a trip to the Charles Playhouse.

Dinner at the "Top of the Pru" , the restaurant in the Prudential Center Tower.
As a Boston "Noobe", take the Duck Tour, great overvieew of the city and its history.
Swan Boat ride in Public Garden.

but where to stay, although i would have a car, would like to walk as parking would be a problem i would prefer downtown area.
