Default Machine shop

hey guys, I'm looking for a shop that can hone FRM sleeves. My f20c is getting "tired" and I want to freshen it up a little

here's what I plan on doing
4x OEM rings 134
BC Econo Rods 394
ACL bearing 90
ARP rod bolts 80
Updated oil squirts, headgasket 120??
--------------------------------------------------
$818 rough estimate
$0 assembly labor(doing myself)

am I missing anything? maybe chain tensioner? I just need to find a shop that can do my FRM sleeves. Sorry if I come off cheap I'm a dsm kinda guy and it shows.

TIA

I'd call Custom Automotive and Machine in Weymouth. Ask for Dana or Chopper.

That said, why do you think the engine needs all this work?

burns oil in high rpms and it seems to be getting worse. Engine has 97k hard drivin miles on it and numerous 140mph-150mph runs(empty 3am highway) The head was already rebuilt about 20k ago but while I freshen up the motor I'll be swapping out the titanium retainers I'm pretty sure they are due.

Sounds like good reasons. don't be surprised if the cylinders need to be bored out. I wouldn't buy any parts until the machine shop mics everything up. Call Dana and Chopper. Most of their work is high performance.

first thing I have to do is a leak down test if I ever get a chance to buy one from harbor freight.

Have you just done a straight compression check yet? Do you suspect a crack in the head or block?

I burn a ton of oil too, but I can put a lot more oil into the car for $818 and keep my reliable OEM engine

True. If I keep mine under V-tech engagement, I have no problems. When I V-tech a lot, it burns some oil. I guess it all depends on how much you are going through.
