Apps I use a lot on my Droid:

Google Maps/Navigation (duh)
Angry Birds (awesome game)
Barcode Scanner (scan in QR codes)
Beautiful Widgets (weather/clock widget)
Dropbox (sync files between PC/Phone)
Yahoo Fantasy Football (duh)
Fruit Ninja (awesome game)
IMDb/Movies
LinkPush (I prefer this to Chrome to Phone)
Pandora (internet radio)
Rainy Days (good weather radar)
setCPU/Rom Manager (helps with overclocking, managing ROMs)
Root Explorer (best file system explorer, must have for rooted users)
Shazam
SportsTap
Terminal Emulator (must have for ROM users)
Temp Monitor (must have for over clockers)
Wireless Tether/Barnacle Wifi tether (stick it to the Man)

Anyone try Tikl?

It's a push to talk app like Nextel. All the reviews say it is as good or better than Nextel. Users can PTT with anyone using an Android based phone running the app. Even from different carriers. So I should be able to talk to Steve who is on Sprint with my Verizon phone.

Steve, wanna give it a go? I'm gonna download it now.

Dude, that worked awesome!!!!

Now, if the battery drain of the app running in the background isn't too bad, this is a winner!!!!

shouldn't be an issue as i bought all kinds of charges for home, office and the cars

quick ? - how to you shut these apps off i'm just using advanced task killer - is that what you use as well

also ordered pro clips for both cars and the alpine aux cables for both cars so that it will play though the alpines - got the phone modding bug

I read a lot into it and was advised not to use task killers that work autmatically. I guess the reasoning is that android manages running apps/services very well and if your task killer starts shutting down things it needs running, android will re-start it over and over again casuing increased in battery drain, not savings.

If you need to stop something without a task killer you can go:

settings/applications/running services

Then you can shut something down at will.
