Default Just found an extra $110 / mo for MODS!

Cancelled my cable and home internet. I was only logging on to the computer once a week to use i-net and haven't watched cable in months.

I have net in emergency through the Blackberry, and I really only use netflix on my TV late at night.

We'll see how this works out, or what the girls think of it!

Erick has found a way around the TV internet thing.

I don't have internet on my phone, so must have it at home. TV, I buy the cheapest cable package that is out there, but I hate paying the thieves at ComCast.

I may go back to Basic Cable at football season, but why pay all summer if I won't use it.

i'm down to basic cable and barely faster than dialup internet so my monthly cable + internet bill is $40. I could live with that.

I don't have cable at all. Picked up an HD antenna so i can get the local channels for free. I pay $40 a month for my internet. Use Hulu, Boxee, and torrents for any tv shows that I want to watch that the antenna doesn't pick up. Television as we used to know it is dead.

so you only get 4 channels of high def locals and you claim TV is dead as we know it heck i'm getting 104 channels of high def (not that there's much on them but still)

does hulu and the others play shows like HBO's true blood?

Nope, but thanks to torrents, i can download all those shows. Have never missed an episode of True Blood, Dexter, Californication or Weeds because of my lack of cable. The only reason I ever wish I still had cable is for some sporting events. But most worth watching are on the main networks regardless.

I will say, when NBC was pushing all the hockey games to MSNBC and CNBC last month, I almost considered getting that package. That pissed me off.
