When I went to Watkins Glen in 2011 (?) I was running top down. Track officials called to SCDA and I was black flagged for sitting too talls. Photos show me about two inches above roll hoops. SCDA had me adjust my seat, and put the top up. That's how I've run ever since. But I do move the seat forward and recline it before going to tech just in case. But so far, it has never been an issue at tech. So put you helmet on and get in the car. If you can fit, you should be able to run. Actually, having the seat a littlec closer makes it easier for me to heal and toe, with my knee bent a bit.
Hopefully there is a race seat that could be mounted low enough.

We are 1 week away from closing the list. If you have been thinking about this you will have to let me know my 7 PM on Monday 5th of May. I will finalize the list at that point and send it to SCDA.

If you are thinking about this go for it! I drive all the way from Bar Harbor Maine for track time on Watkins Glen. This year looks like 3 times in the cards! It's that much fun. SCDA event had about 10 S2000 last year. Nice time had by all

^ you my friend win the longest distance traveled award. I encourage others on the fence to sign up as well. Watkins Glen is the holy grail of road courses to quote NH_S2K_Guy.

FWIW if people are still on the fence/can not sign up now they still can sign up through SCDA, they just loose the discount. SCDA will let you sign up till just a few days before the event!

^ Paul you are right. Anyone that's not part of the group can still sign up provided there are open slots for the run group thy want to go in.
The group has until June 10 to pay. But that is provided they are registered with SCDA through this group by Monday with the payment being processed through me. Just to clarify again I am not making a cut on this nor is SCDA paying me in kind. I am shelling out the money for the days just as everyone is. The goal is to get a group of S2000's together.
Those on the fence can still go direct with SCDA at the full price paid upon registration.

George unfortunately the group thing is only for S2000s. I tried getting a friend with another car on last year but Ian refused to extend the group pricing. If you sign up today (maybe tomorrow too) you can register for the same price the s2000s will pay. Hopefully you'll be able to come
