Default It's Tire Time!

Found that Vulcan Tire is the best cost right now. I will probably go somewhere local to buy the tires but all the while knowing full well that I will pay about 20-25 more per tire. That is totally OK with me as they will do a good job and charge less to mount and balance the whole thing.

Suggestions on other places to go to get the tire pricing?

I just hope that they can get these tires at a good price. I don't mind supporting the local guys! They are there when you need them and you run into a flat and they pull patch and re-mount the tire for free. That's worth the 25 bucks each tire!

Any other tires out there that do street and Auto-x as well as those?(anything newer) I have heard tht these are the ones to drop on the car.

Then the question is do I go 245 or 255 rear? I have now 255 17 in an S-02. Pushing the limits of what can go on the car with the rim setup.

Jim, contact Mel in Avon (Previous S02's) and tell him what you want to pay. He's pretty good about stuff like that.

I'd definitely get the Azenis if I had 17" wheels, everything I've read about them has been positive.

Odd... in the latest issue of Grassroots motorsports they claimed one of the few downsides the Azenis had was it didn't perform too well in the rain. Once again it was the fastest in the dry though...
