iPod Newbie Question...
I have a question about this thing. I bought it mainly to use on the train/subway on my weekend cummutes into NYC every other weekend.
Anyway, the other day at work i noticed (and ive heard of this) the CompUsa flyer and theres this "Ipod auto kit" for sale. Says it allows you to use the pod with the cars radio blah blah blah.
I was going to get a cd-changer, but why bother if i can use the pod thingy through the cars radio? That makes more sense.
So anyone in NE have one in thier S with the stock radio?
How does it work?
How do you like it ?
Any quams with it etc ?
Thanks !

Vic, do not use a wireless FM modulator to feed the signal to your head unit as it will sound like crap..
couple of choices -
wireless fm = hooters girls
wired fm = cheaters girls
Honda Pie unit = Las vegas girls

I'm not sure if you still have your stock stereo in there, but I'm in the same position and plan to buy an adaptor to convert the CD changer plug to an aux port. A CD changer came with my car, and I'd get much more use out of the iPod. There are a few of there adaptors that plug right into the stock system, here's one of them.

I also have an FM modulator... the sound quality is really quite poor. Before the s2000 my prefered way to listen to the iPod in the car was a cassette adaptor, that not being an option in the S, I'm going the wired route.

Now for a real answer:
This is by far the coolest way to attach an iPod. A single cable attached to the CD changer adapter in the back of the head unit allows wired iPod audio, charging, and track/pause control through the stock buttons on the dash. The downside? The friggin' thing is $200 or so! ...and it won't work with 04+ head units, as I understand.
