Interior material
I am looking through the forum and I can't seem to find or I just didn't look hard enough( my bad if I didn't). But I was wondering if anyone has any good refferals for a good interior upholstry shop in Mass. With the recent nice weather we been having I have started to think that maybe leather is not all that great. I was wondering if anyone new what kind of material is used in the new seats in the new Civic Si And what do you guys think of this replacing the leather on the oem seats?

my advice would be buy (non-leather) racing/sports seats, a nice set of brides or recaro's. Would look better than jury-rigged si seats in an s2k, easier to find/buy/mount. If your s2k seats are in decent condition, you could sell those and probably break even after buying new ones. You dont have to sacrifice comfort either when buying racing seats, many models now offer reclining, lots of adjustability and lumbar support
edit: my bad, just re-read your post, but I still think reupholstering oem seats will prove to be difficult and expensive. what about CR seats? theyre alcantara, arent they?

theyre certainly not leather, but if there was ever a set for sale they would be exorbitantly expensive

I always thought the CR's were Alcantara, but I don't know 100% they are. Since honda used Alcantara in some of the Si's it would seem to make sense it was the same. No idea what the centers are made of. I had some some research before into seeing if you could buy the skins off a CR seat to replace the leather, if my memory recalls it was crazy expensive to do.

Thanks guys so maybe buying CR seats would be the way to go I am guessing!! I've seen seat covers from GOtuning but basically its leather covering leather.. To bad they didn't make any seat covers made out of other material.
