Dibi,

I've had some success using a flexible claw-finger-grabber thingie to start difficult bolts. You've seen these things: a flexible cover, you push the button on the top and three or four fingers spread out on the bottom end. You can grab a bolt in the fingers and use the flex shaft to guide the bolt into the hole; the fingers will allow you to thread the bolt into the hole if everything is indeed lined up right. Use this to thread it in most of the way, then the wobble extension and socket to tighten it down.

thats a good tip, i go out and get one of those today!

I've found pulling the alternator and belt tensioner makes the lower bolts a cinch

pulled out alternator already, i will remove the tensioner before i reassemble everything

You have to play with the socket extensions to get the right angle. It took me 3.5 hours to remove and re-install mine.
