i'm paying 2850 ish for the S alone. insurance jumped 454 for my first speeding ticket, add another 1150 for my gf's acura integra

whoops spoke too soon - received the new policy in the mail today for the new car increased by almost 600 a year

What i dont get is, why is it so much lower insurance premiums for a MB-SLK, Porsche Boxster, Audi TT. The only thing ive come up with is these cars are directed to generally a older more mature market. Hence the rates would be lower? I guess it would make some sense as most of the people i see around our ritzy neighborhood driving these euro converts appear to be middle-aged or older. Not always the case but just generally speaking i guess.

WOW... I have Liberty Mutual anf pay $1860/yr for the 01 S and a 99 Caviler. I am a step 9 and the wife is an 11.
