To the OP, call a Massachusetts insurance agent and give him or her your info. there is no way you are going to get a good idea of your premium based on a random discussion from people all over New England.

Wow you guys are luck, I live in the north shore area and pay $3100/ year. 21year and 4points doesn't help either! Need to move to a better area, for lower rates
3K to insure ONE vehicle? You might want to drive a Civic if you don't want to end up in the poor house.
As matter of fact I do drive a civic as my winter car, insurance premium is still up there. In general the area where you live plays a huge role next to your driving re cord, large population= higher premium.

Yeah, cities, age, driving record, all are a factor in insurance costs.

Glad we're living in small town.

I recall my son's first car cost less than the insurance, and that was without collision insurance.

Whatever you do, don't commit fraud with your auto insurance. If is not really garaged in Welfleet, do not say it is. Any hint of fraud and you'll be up Sh*** creek without a paddle. Insurance companies share info, so once the cat is out of the bag, game over. Not only that, if you do get a payment for an accident, you better darn well use it for the repairs. If there's a difference left over, you have to give it back to the insurance company.

Many of you are thinking, "I've been doing all the above (the frauds) for many years..." Every dog will have their day and this one day you do not want... Ever since I had a good friend who's dad is a big insurance VP, I am playing it straight up.

26, two cars: $1733.20 per year for both S2000 and 335i. I have Geico. I consider it a fair price considering the performance of the cars for my age.

My understanding is that Mass has a "Safe Driver's" program for auto insurance premium, so if you have a clean record, no speeding etc, your rate will be lower that your "evil" twin who'se been stopped by the cops and hase had his 2 stage confabulation with the "System".

Insurance cost (like so many other things) may also be partly dependent on your credit rating. Your credit rating is used for far more than getting a bank loan!

But some of you seem to have very reasonable rates. Mine (not a kid) is $868 per year with full comprehensive ($500 deductable), $500,000 liability and $1.0 million uninsured/underinsured drivers. The liability component is $352. The collision comprehensive component is $259.00; the non-colision comprehensive is $122.00.

I then save a few bucks by taking the car off the road for about 4 months in the winter, leaving only the non-collision comprehensive on the car while in storage.

I also save a few bucks on the rate because I insure 3 cars and a house on the same policy.

Cheers
