Dislocated patella

Sounds like you're on the side lines for a while.

Want the name of my ortho surgeon in Boston? He does shoulders and knees....though this does not sound like an injury needing surgical intervention, which is good. Get a good physical therapist.....

How is the knee? How was recovery?

I am interested since I am at home with Dislocated Patella and splint as off 2 days ago.
my knee is serviceable.
I have some arthritis in it so it will never be "great" or even pain free.
but it works, i golf I want to ski but haven't been able to find the time to this year.

good luck, listen to the doctor and to the therapist and do what they say.
avoid deciding to push for more, be patient.

Sure PM me the details just in case

Thank you

this has put a lot of strain on my right knee as well because of compensating. I might have to mention it to the doc too. It hurts as well. Sigh.

Edit: Will do, I need to recover since I am really active. This has put a lot of stress on me especially now that the other knee is bothering me. I don't want to be in pain for the rest of my life since it's backs job. Haha

Came back from the hospital........

They took off knee splint. She said aligment (or was it tendent?) is torn but function of it will be replaced by muscles. Scheduled knee rehab asap for both knees.

MRI scheduled for next week and meeting with surgent right after. They wAnt to see if anything is just floating in there such as cartlidge so they can take it out if need be.

You might be surprised at how much benefit you can get from the proper PT.

Rick tore his ACL. His daily activities do not actually require a working ACL....ACL is for side to side movement. Doc did not recommend surgery for him. He had him go to PT which made the other muscles stronger. Pain went away and so far so good. Just don't ask him to play basketball......no can do.

I see, okay well I hope it works out. I put about 10 pounds on it and it was okay. We will see how rehab goes.

But sound of not doing certain motion scares me haha. I guess better be cautious then in pain.
