Depends what you took for cold medicine.
If you took only an anti-histimine or decongestant, Like Benadryl or Claritin, you can add in some Advil, or Tylenol or aspirin for sore throat, fever or aches.
Check the ingredients on what you took. They used to have one cold med that had Tylenol or the generic Tylenol in it, you don't want to take Tylenol, on top of Tylenol.
