OK so I did sign up for this and went to day and saw thomas

and cornercompacts
and another fellow S2000 owner from southern california who's working in boston.

got to wail on a Cayenne GTS ( a fast pig but still a pig)

two different caymans not sure what the difference was other trim level but the black one definitely felt faster.

The Boxster S which was the best sounding by far and very quick.

and of course a 911.

gotta sat that the 911 was very quick.
The only downside is you got two laps in each car per turn.
so just about the time your got comfortable and were ready to go fast it was,,, NEXT!!!

but wailing on somebody elses car for two hours.
as Martha Stewart would say when not doing time, " and that's a good thing"

We left early, so we probably missed the sales pitch after the autocross.

Jerry, did they try to sell you a p-car?

BTW, maybe I am partial. I felt so comfortable with the 997, I was able to drive faster than the RS60 Boxster S. I think the 997 is more forgiving than the Boxster S. That thing reacts to your input so fast, you have to be on top of your game. Mid engine cars are so responsive to drivers input. Amazing!

nope. they just wanted to get out of there.
the staff took over playing with the cars at 5:30.
tried to talk 'em into letting me take out the S2000 for a comparative baseline but they wouldn't bite.

I would have liked about twice as many laps in each car.
I got pretty quick in the Boxster S but may have actually gone faster in the 911. The Boxster was easier to drive.
of course if they weren't tiptronic it might be a very different story.

Nothing told me, you must sell the S2000 right now.
it would have been fun to have timers out there to gauge quantitatively how things went.
