Pinky learned about it for the first time about a week ago when I used it on him.

I guess his english class didn't cover its use.

Actually it was the first time I had EVER seen it used. Least that I can remember.

English was one of the classes I didn't have much interest in. Especially getting into the grammatical nuances of our language.

I doubt there are many people here who didn't know what it meant. I am just the only one to admit it.

Now to get this thread back on topic.

SGATE21 sent me his dyno graph as he was having problems posting it. So here it is:



I'll admit it looks great, but it something seems out of place. The curve is really smooth up till VTEC. Almost a textbook dyno curve. No or little timing is being pulled out and looks like the right amount of fuel(can't be 100% without A/F ratio curve).

I would suggest getting a VAFC and lowering the VTEC to engage around 5000rpm. You will see a nice jump in power. Power will start lower and you could gain hp from 6000-9000rpm. You might also be able to fix that strange negitive dip at 6300rpm and smooth out the curve post VTEC.

I did some searching and refreshed my memory about the past dynos I've seen on the stock Vortech kit. The dynojets range from 280-296hp and a dynopack(dyno is bolted to wheel hubs and shows about 10% better numbers) showed 308hp.

I also checked out 1RandyC's dynos and for those of you who don't know he is running a comptech supercharger with intercooler, injectors, VAFC and a TINY pulley(12psi boost) and other custom work. He dynoed 341hp.

So how to explain the above dyno. Did Vortech change something? Did NE Dyno somehow install a bolt on kit "better" than everyone else Do you have any other parts on the kit that would explain the abnormally high hp? Do you have a stock dyno graph? What model year is your S2000?

I'll have to go up there at some point and see what my car puts down on their dyno...

The first thing that jumps out is that it doesn't say SAE Corrected like your chart does. Can it be assumed that it is SAE Corrected if it doesn't say it? If it isn't corrected, could that explain the difference in numbers?
