btwe lainey - i'll need to buy a piece of oak that's 64 1/2 inches long by 9 inches wide by 2 inches high (just in case i forget to bring the paper again

Steve, I had another idea. we can use your existing mantle as a base, wrap the dental around that and put the new mantle piece on top of it. Call me tomorrow.
